Information we collect and use

When you contact the practice or choose to receive administrative text messages, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, contact details, mobile number, communication preferences, and scheduling or administrative requests. We use this information to respond to you, coordinate appointments and forms, and maintain your communication preferences. Please use the secure CharmHealth patient portal for clinical information.

Service providers that support practice communications and administration may process information as needed to provide those services. The mobile-information and consent restrictions below apply to our text messaging program.

Text messaging and mobile information

Syracuse Integrative Psychiatry may send SMS text messages to patients who have provided a mobile number and opted in, for appointment reminders, scheduling, and administrative matters.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors that provide support services, such as our messaging provider, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for information about this messaging service, or call 315-607-9417.

Text messaging is not used for clinical communication, refill requests, or emergencies, and is not monitored around the clock. Patients should use the patient portal for clinical matters. In a crisis, call 911, go to the nearest emergency room, call or text 988, or text HOME to 741741 — do not text this practice.

SMS Terms

By affirmatively opting in, you agree to receive text messages from Syracuse Integrative Psychiatry at the mobile number you provide about appointments, scheduling, forms that need signing, and brief administrative matters. Consent to receive texts is optional and is not a condition of treatment. You may choose phone or patient portal communication instead.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for information about the messaging service, or call 315-607-9417 for assistance. HELP is not a way to reach a clinician or obtain crisis care. These privacy provisions apply to the SMS program.

Texting privacy and safety

Standard SMS is not encrypted and may be visible to anyone with access to your device. Keep clinical details out of texts. Text messages are not monitored continuously. Do not text symptoms, medication problems, clinical questions, refill requests, or emergencies.

Prescription refills

Request refills through the CharmHealth patient portal or ask your pharmacy to send the request. Allow two business days. Requests made during an appointment are handled at that visit. Refill requests sent by text message will not be filled. If you have run out or are about to, call 315-607-9417; do not wait on a text.
